• You always play × (cross); the computer plays ○ (circle).

• Easy mode: 3×3 board, get 3 in a row to win (tic-tac-toe).

• Normal & Hard modes: get 5 in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

• You always move first.

• If the board fills up with no winner, the game is a draw.
